I took a look at Google's research at to who knows what a browser is and i must say it is sad. Although Google is trying to push their "Chrome" browser people just believe a browser to be a search engine and not the actual application that renders the page. This could mean a lot when it comes to a marketing strategy, and also why Internet Explorer held the leading share for so long.
As you can see with 8% ACTUALLY knowing what a browser really is it would be hard to make them switch to what u are offering when they don't really know what it is that they have.
This could mean a lot to Google and Mozilla, if they change their advertising strategies they just may be able to take away Internet Explorer's leading share of the browser market (faster).
